Well, to answer your question about why he is still breathing. When you inhale, the diaphragm and intercostal muscles contract and expand the chest cavity. This expansion lowers the pressure in the chest cavity below the outside air pressure. Air then flows in through the airways...... I know, I'm a smart-ass.
There should be a new law against terrorist. If you see them, you can shoot them. Kind of a "finders keepers" thing.
News stations need to wake the hell up! Leave the mourning stories for Entertainment Tonight.
