Was South Carolina one of those states where Democrats could cross over and vote for Republican candidates? Because if the answer is no, then there must be a lot of RINOs (Republicans in name only) who voted for McCain. I always thought SC was a fairly conservative state and McCain is no conservative.

Apparently, for a number of previous elections, the winner of SC has gone on to win the Republican nomination for president. I pray that this trend stops here.
